4…………> Mississippi Civil Rights Museum: President Trump

“The civil rights museum records the oppression, cruelty and injustice inflicted on the African-American community, the fight to bring down Jim Crow and end segregation, to gain the right to vote and to achieve the sacred birthright of equality. And it’s big stuff. That’s big stuff. Those are very big phrases, very big words,” President Trump said at the end of his speech as about 100 protesters outside shouted “No Trump, no hate, no KKK in the USA”.

This was a brutal display of the stark divisions among Americans about his commitment to racial equality as he paid tribute to the leaders and foot soldiers of the civil rights movement at the new Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum.

5…………> Bomb In The Basement: Israel

Israel’s founding father, David Ben-Gurion, was horrified by both the Holocaust and the endless hostility his new country faced from its much larger Arab neighbors. He viewed nuclear weapons as a last resort option for ensuring the survival of the Jewish state in case its enemies ever used their much larger populations and economies to build conventionally superior militaries.
David Ben-Gurion vision of “Fortress Israel” came into being when the funding for the struggling new state nuclear weapons program came from private donors led by Abraham Feinberg, a prominent American who served as an advisor to both President Kennedy and President Johnson, raising $100 million dollars for the project, an enormous amount of money at the time.
